School District. Grade 3 MEAP. Community Reviews. I personally like this school. It does require visitors to be buzzed into most areas. I appreciate the classroom having a bathroom, water fountain, windows for walls and the cubbies right in the classroom.

Why would anyone care if it is like Fort Knox!? The craziness going on today requires it. My child is learning, that is the goal. We absolutely love Ms. My experience has been a very negative and stressful one. The school is ran more so like a prison than a caring, nurturing environment the way an elementary school should feel. Level 0 most of the time, silent lunch for the first 10 minutes of lunch time, and minutes taken off recess if most of the class is talking.

The whole class gets punished if majority of the children are talking, which means that children that are being responsible gets punished too. Children do need structure and discipline, but I think this school has forgotten that they are still children.

If the children are talking all the time, it seems to me that they are not engaged and the students are missing valuable learning time. We will not be attending this school in the future. Do not send your kids to this school so unorganized bad communication skill the teachers dont care about these kids education every week there asking for money for something ridiculous.

I absolutely love this school. I don't have any complaints. This is my son first year there. In a paper to be published in the March issue of the American Journal of Public Health, the researchers found a strong relationship between lowered math, science and reading scores on the Michigan Education Assessment Program tests and elevated blood lead levels. High blood lead levels before age 6 were associated with poor academic achievement in elementary and junior high students.

Further, the researchers found that the higher the blood lead levels, the lower the scores, said lead author Nanhua Zhang, who currently is at the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of South Florida, but who conducted the research as a doctoral candidate at the U-M School of Public Health.

The team also found cognitive impairment with much lower blood lead levels than the current federal reference level.
