The knowledge and support of the staff was far above average and the food was nothing short of life changing.

We sat outside on patio so was quiet though pedestrians cut right thru instead of around. Drinks were tasty. Amazing food and service! We had the 4 course dinner with wine pairings. Each dish was inventive and interesting by itself, but they all had a rather high salt level which had a bad cumulative effect. Wine pairings were excellent. Service excellent. A little noisy, but food and service were excellent. The restaurant was awarded a one star in Chicago's inaugural Michelin Guide in and has since then retained its one star rating.

I am sure the main reason is the food, and not the service and the entire table set. Silverware cheap, inadequate white wine glasses, and our waiter was not nice. Not a restaurant to celebrate a birthday. Coming to Chicago next month and definitely will not return to this restaurant. Everything was great. Very relaxing, wait staff was helpful and informative but not intrusive. Food preparations were unique and flavorful and the quality of the ingredients was excellent. We will be back! Blown away by this experience.

They were loud, they were yelling and the staff did absolutely nothing to try to contain them or tell them to quiet down. NOt at all what I would expect from the restaurant. In addition, we had great prior experience with servers at the restaurant and ours was OK but I think she could have helped with the menu more and provide feedback recommendations on what works well together and doesnt when coursing out. I think overall it was a disappointing evening.

Food was great - service and ambience lacked greatly. Our dinner at Sepia was fabulous. The restaurant is welcoming and provided impeccable service.

The four course dinner with wine pairings was creative and delicious in every bite. Our server was almost joyful in presenting each course and then its wine pairing.

Highly recommended. It was absolutely perfect. An amazing experience! Never been to a restaurant with such high esteem. Everyone was so courteous and personable. I love the way that they gave such care in consideration into the reason why we were there a birthday. They really made the night special. The food was out of this world!!!!! I could eat it everyday! We will definitely be coming back here and putting on our list of top spots.
